Who Are We

Bryst Club Football is an elite youth soccer program for athletes ages 4 to 17, specializing in the development and advancement of dedicated soccer athletes to collegiate/university soccer and beyond.

Our soccer athletes have a direct pathway to college coaches through our partnership with next college student athlete (NCSA), the world’s largest and most experienced college athletic recruiting network. Our athletes will have the benefit of online technology, an expansive college/university coach network and proven recruiting methods to help in the pursuit of scholarship opportunities. Our athletes will also have a direct pathway to professional club trials and evaluations.

Our Mission

Is to provide dedicated soccer athletes a direct pathway to collegiate / university scholarships and professional trials by maximizing exposure to coaches through our comprehensive performance excellence program.

Bryst Football Academy is dedicated to providing lifelong memories through the beautiful game of soccer to the youth of our community. Our goal is to set the foundation for a physical life which emphasizes participation, teamwork, fair-play, leadership and community service.

We hope that the time spent in our club will leave each member with a lasting appreciation for fitness, team and community.

The Concept / Our Model

Bryst Club Football offers an innovative student-athlete curriculum designed to enhance our athlete’s soccer, athletic and academic prowess by incorporating training and development all within a comprehensive and structured program. In addition to the core curriculum, our student-athletes will have access to next college student athlete (ncsa) an online recruiting platform connecting our student-athletes with ncaa and usport coaches, our veo system, a video player platform used for learning and creating player highlight packages; sat prep courses and many other student-athlete specific courses including interviewing techniques, nutrition, health, online etiquette, and a lot more, all in preparation for their collegiate/university scholarship pursuits.

Our soccer athletes receive a true academy style training experience. Our state-of-the-art facility, prime athletic centre (pac) is home for our athletes. We have 2 industry leading turf where our training happens. Our 1200 square foot fitness centre is outfitted with premier fitness equipment that satisfies an elite athlete’s demands. As well, we have a study hall for our student-athletes to access prior to their training sessions in order to manage their school work, assignments or study for exams. This is truly a unique environment that will prepare our athletes for their academic and athletic transition to the highest level of college/university and beyond.

Bryst Club Football offers a year-round curriculum that is divided into 2 programs fall/winter (Nov-Apr) and spring/summer (May-Oct). Below is an overview of our 2 programs:

CARLOS RIVAS
Bryst Club Football TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Carlos Rivas played for Colo-Colo, a Chilean football team, from 1978 to 1982. Carlos Rivas was a midfielder for Colo-Colo in 136 official games over five seasons, and he scored 40 goals during that time. While he was on the team, the team won two national championships (1979 and 1981) and two Polla Gol championships (1981 and 1982).

Rivas also represented the Chilean National team at the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Rivas was a key figure in the development of a style of football involving ‘pre-jugadas’ and creative offensive strategies.

KAREN ARAKELYAN

Karen Arakelyan is a UEFA “A” Football Coaching Licensed Professional. Coach Karen’s professional experience includes Armenia League 1: Coach FC Urartu 2 (Pro League) 2022, Coach FC Alashkert (Pro League) 2021-2022 and Coach FC King Abovyan 2013-2021.

Coach Karen is Bryst Football Academy Lead-Technical Development I-Model and Competitive U13 – U18.

BILLY DICKSON
Bryst Club Football HEAD COACH

Bill Dickson has accomplished much in the beautiful game, including his playing career in the US collegiate ranks. His collegiate and playing career fostered a love and dedication to coaching once his playing career ended.

Coach Billy leads by example with his dedication to the teams and players of the academy both on the pitch and in the match analysis room. His ability to teach the game to young players is one of his many strengths.

His coaching accomplishments at Bryst Football Academy includes Woodbridge Invitational Tournament Champions U17, I-Model Finalist U18 and Steel United Showcase USA Finalist U13.

KAREN ARAKELYAN

CARLOS RIVAS JR.
Bryst Club Football COACH

Rivas Jr. began his career in Mexico with Cruz Azul and just after one year he signed in the first division with Chilean professional team Deportes La Serena. It is in Deportes La Serena where he became a recognizable figure in sports throughout Chile. Carlo was a starter in the squad and became numerous times the recipient of the best player of the week.

One year left in his contract, Jose Sulantay, the U/20 World Cup Coach and the recipient of Chilean Coach of the year award in 2007 made a personal request to bring Carlo Rivas Jr. to Municipal Iquique, another professional team in Chile. He signed in January 2008 for Municipal Iquique and played professionally in that club for 2 years. Carlo Rivas then played his final year of professional soccer at the Universidad de Concepción, where he went on to win the Copa Chile in 2009.

KIYAN JADAVJI
Bryst Club Football COACH

Kiyan Jadavji is an alumnus of Bryst Football Academy. He captained the 2001 boys group for 4 years between 2014 and 2018. Most notably, Kiyan captained his team while competing against Colo Colo in Chile, Manchester City in England, and various youth teams in the San Marino Cup in Italy. He was the team’s leading goal scorer for 3 consecutive seasons and selected for the YRSA district team in 2015. Kiyan has since returned to Bryst Football Academy in a coaching capacity. He holds a National C license from Canada Soccer and is an active coach in his community, both for high schools in YRAA and community teams in the AKYSB Gold Cup tournament. Kiyan is currently earning a Commerce degree from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) with a focus on Leadership in Organizations.
